ERIC SAYS:
The “Lewton Bus,” one of the go-to scares in horror cinema, was named for an event in this movie. Shot on Welles’ Magnificent Ambersons set during off hours, Legendary producer Val Lewton and director Jacques Tourneur crafted a fantastic early horror classic. John Carpenter hates this movie. Martin Scorsese loves it. As much as I love Carpenter, I have to side with Marty on this one.
